lets get him!! looks good, long athletic with nice handles
At this stage beggars can't be choosers and another body would be a good thing especially at PG.
That being said and just viewing this tape and seeing Hubbard play, I think Hubbard would have been more productive in Big Ten play.
Moore doesn't have an explosive break off his head and shoulder fake. Not what I would call quick. Again, I have only seen this AAU tape. Would love to have seen some sanctioned highlights. Then again when u r that tall off the top, all you need is one step, covering a lot of ground, to seal off the defender and create a lane.
Probably too hard to make a judgement one way or another from this clip

Could be tough to beat providence out. They are going after him hard. But moore says he wants to play PG in an up-and-down system. His mom has diabetes and isn't in tremendous health, so the awesome hospitals at U of I would have to be attractive as well.
Fair enough, but the question at this point isn't whether he's better than Hubbard, it's whether he's better than Branden Stubbs. I'd be willing to bet on that one.
Schools will tell him he can play PG, but they are lying. I don't think he will see time at PG at the D1 level, just my opinion. He has some flashy handles, but there's tons more to playing PG then some fancy breakdown moves...only 2 years of organized ball is going to be a huge limiter for someone with D1 PG aspirations. Plus with his size, the temptation to put him at 2 or 3 is going to be tremendous. I could be wrong.
I'm not knocking the kid at all - he looks darn good and I would take him in a heartbeat - I just think if I were him I'd advertise myself as a 2/3...there's no shame in that at all, it's just fitting your size/skills/background into the appropriate position.
Before we go off spouting if he is a good fit at Iowa or not and if we even want him, we first have to see if he even wants us ... The headline on hawkcentral is written in a way it sort of sounds like we already have the kid ... Then, after reading the article, the kid does not even mention Iowa ...
Juvenile detention center? Why was he there? Are we sure we want to go down this path again?
This story reeks of Van Coleman throwing **** at the wall hoping something will stick. It's not a huge secret Van doesn't have the inside track to things going on at Iowa that he once did. As a result he's started throwing out things that he thinks makes sense but have no real traction. On more than one occasion Van has linked a school to a kid and later it's come out that the school had never even contacted the kid or the coach.
I'm not saying this kid wouldn't be a nice addition, I'm saying any recruiting article that quotes Van should be taken with a grain of salt.

Hubbard had a hitch in his shot, but at least he could get it off. This kid has a slower release than me, and i suck.No doubt you know more about hoops than me, but I will say his shot looks better than Hubbard's if nothing else. Not like he looks like Reggie Miller or anything but it looks better than Hubb's.
Again, though, caution is needed since I'm looking at only a 1 1/2 minute clip of him and a few clips of Hubbard.
