1. Hawks get Adam Woodbury to sign on as a Hawk (and become the favorites to land the Jok kid).
2. Melsan Basabe continues his progression and becomes a 1st Team All Big 10 pick
3. The Hawks make it back to some kind of Post Season play (I will even be pleased with an NIT bid).

Woodbury could sign but won't play until the next year. I'm hoping that our center position gets a big upgrade with JC, 6'10'' or bigger player. I would love to see a slasher, shooter about 6'6'' or bigger or a point guard that gets into the lane and dishes or finishes at the rim. Would really love a post season again, agree that the NIT would be pleasing at this point.

PS. The time the site is showing for the posting is way off.....

Patrick,

You really don't think we need another big? I don't think we are really going to go anywhere next year with only Brommer and Archie. They can play a little and/or back up but to start and play a lot of minutes, we are in trouble.

Nothing personal, but I hope Archie moves on. Pretty easy to replace his productivity with a juco or recruit that has a higher ceiling.

With Brommer, Basabe, White and yet to be signed player, we won't be big by WI or MN standards, but will be long and athletic, which can create matchup problems. I agree we need help down low, but if we don't find some guys that can shoot, teams will sag in the paint as they have done this year and smother us. Good perimter shooting make average post players look good by getting them looks without being double teamed.

1) Continued improvement for the current players returning, especially Basabe, Cartwright and Marble

2) Next two schollies filled by a combination of Guerrero/Stokes/Carter and Pitchford/Katenda

3) Archie moves on and we sign a JUCO big with his opened schollie

A legit center would be first on my wish list. I like Brommer and what he brings but he isn't going to give Fran 30 minutes a game. A center that plays defense, rebounds and runs the floor would be fine with me, think Reggie Evans with a few more inches on hm, a garbage man type.

Adding another PG or SG that can create his own looks would be fine to. If any of the recruits coming in can push May, Gatens, Marble or McCabe for minutes Fran will have some depth at least.
