Colin Cole: Bears Overlooking Seattle

Defensive tackle Colin Cole was on his way from the locker room to the weight room at the Seattle Seahawks’ training facility Wednesday afternoon when he stopped to answer the question.
Is there a chance the Bears are overlooking your team?
‘‘Of course they are,’’ said Cole, a former Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeye. ‘‘New Orleans did, too. So did everyone else in America. If they want to overlook us, that’s fine by me.’’
Cole said the Seahawks are confident because they’ve already won in Chicago this season.
But he realizes the Bears are a much different and more run-oriented team than the squad the Seahawks played against in October.
‘‘I welcome the challenge,’’ Cole said. ‘‘I’m looking forward to it. That’s my job, playing against the run.’’

I seriously doubt the Bears are overlooking Seattle since Seattle already won in Soldier Field this year.

I doubt the Bears are overlooking them too....and Pete Carroll said he's going to kick to Hester....yes....Let's go Bears!!!

I sat behind Cole at the Iowa vs South Carolina game. He's a cool guy, and really big guy. But as said, I highly doubt the bears will be overlooking them considering we lost at home against them already this year

You guys have apparently never listened to chicago sports radio. I have an hour and a half commute everyday and listen to the diarrhea of the mouth spewed out on 670 the score. Many of their talk show hosts have already written the bears into the Super Bowl.

And for the record (before I am attacked for listening to it)... I choose to listen to it because there is nothing much better to listen to. Plus I am a Bulls fan, and occasionally they get on that topic.

tmurph2643, I spent the first 17 years of my life in Chicagoland. I was never a huge 670 fan for sportstalk (may I suggest 780 or 1000) and since I haven't lived in the area since 2002, I can only assume the quality has gone since I left.

As far as the Bears fans I know, we are all optimistic but realistic. The Bears should beat the Seahawks but it isn't a given (ask the Saints about how given their last game was). As far as winning the NFC, the Falcons and Packers are both very good teams.

I'm sure he wants to believe that, but I don't see how the Bears could overlook a team that beat them AT home once already. I'm sure the Bears are itching for revenge. If the Bears are overlooking the Seahawks then Lovie deserves to be fired regardless of their record this year.

I always enjoyed Cole, but Go Bears!
