1. Our record (especially with the expectations)
2. Wegher gone
3. Hampton injured
4. Hampton gone
5. ARob school issues
6. ARob drug issues
7. DJK drug issues and gone

What did I miss?

Add the staff's failure to recognize a fake punt in the Wisconsin game.

That play turned the game and probably the season around.

A fake punt was also called by Eastern Illinois, and they ran it quite successfully. I thought the staff would have taken note of that play and guarded against future fakes. Apparently, not so.

AC on 1 knee, gasping for air, on what turned out to be the game-losing stands.

AC's statement about the lost will to win.

(Not ragging on AC, specifically. Just describing.)

I thought of that, too. I did not post it because the loss of Norm's foot was more of an unfortunate event rather than a disappointment. It was something no one could control.

But, I know what you are saying.

I bet Norm was disappointed.

Add Rogers' heart issues. The "top" recruit in the state committed to Oregon.

Let's look at the bright side: we will probably finish this year with more wins in basketball than in football, so that's an improvement.

I'd say the loss of Norm for several keys games was a disappointment. His lost foot is more of a sad event.

Clock Management . . . more frustrating than disappointing.

The fake punt . . .definitely.

I'd have to add an early loss (to AZ). Even if it's a tradition, it's still disappointing.

What did I miss?

--The horrendously obvious by the Wiscy O-lineman on Clayborn not getting called

--The loss of Bruce Davis, Jeff Tarpinian, Tyler Nielsen, Troy Johnson and other LBs for either a few games or the rest of the season

--The loss of four OGs during parts of the season

--Terrelle Pryor converting a 4th-and-10 to keep OSUs last drive alive

--The complete and utter inconsistency of the late--and failed--drives against Wisconsin, Northwestern, Ohio State and Minnesota which all ended in Ls

--The absolutely lackluster way we played in each and every game following the blowout over MSU (yes, we had moments in all those games, but basically, "fail")

--The apparent physical or mental difficulty/ies that have prevented Jordan Bernstine from seeing the field and/or reaching his "potential

--Hundertmark and Leppert leaving the team in August when it is now obvious BOTH would have seen plenty of action this season

List of Good things this year

1. Complete domination of ISU
2. Beating Penn State again
3. Win in the Big House
4. Slaughtering Top 5 ranked Michigan St
5. Great recruiting year
6. Many young guys gaining valuable experience for the future
7. Bowl victory (hopefully tonight)

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but WHY start a thread like this. "In case we haven't touched all of these disappointments in every other thread, let's make a list of them too."

The disappointments happened. They are over. Move on.

Only two...
1) I didn't get the super model I asked Santa for.
2) I didn't get my smart phone sooner.
