Bernstine was listed last week...I just compare the two and point out changes.
Is Bernstine injured or just not peforming? He has disappeared.
A little from column A, a little from column B. He was dinged up early this season by a few minor injuries that kept him out of action. I think that lack of reps has led to an underwhelming performance. Not sure if it's true or grapevine rumor but I heard mid-last week that he was practicing with the receivers and may be our slot guy next season. Anybody know if there's anything to the rumor?

MSU has won at least two games making comebacks, NW and PU. I think Kirk may have been extra cautious after MSU scored to start 4th quarter.
I think that another element has to do with confidence. When you get this late into your career and you're not starting ... a lot of guys start questioning themselves and then they don't assert themselves or play as aggressively as they did when they were younger. I think that that has contributed quite a bit to what has happened to Bernstine. I hope that he flushes all the expectations surrounding him from his original recruitment and actually comes out and plays his hardest come his SR campaign. He really was legit when he was younger and playing with greater confidence ... if only he'd realize that too.
Iowa needs a shake-up on offense. I just hope that not having ARob in there will make KOK be a little more creative with his formations and plays. It will suck if it just means going even more conservative, or trying to chuck the ball downfield on first down. That has proven to be a drive killer on more than one occasion. Run the 7 yard slant on first and then be in a position to take your shot and still be in good position to reasonably pick up the first down.
Oh yeah, and if JK needs to start at guard again, forget the play action and just do straight to shot gun.
