Give me a break. He is right. The Hawks are very well coached and don't beat themselves. They didn't beat themselves against Zona. Zona beat them. Zona beat them at special teams, which is a part of the game. Just because Iowa couldn't tackle a kick returner doesn't mean they beat themselves.

It is ok to be beaten. Give the other team credit. It is ok to practice that line of thinking

You can't focus on your mistakes and not mention the mistakes that Arizona made as well. They essentially canceled each other out
 




I wouldn't expect you to understand 17 since I don't think ISU has ever been in a situation where they were considered good enough to give the game away to the other team.

you don't think that there was a mistake made by iowa when there is an xtra point missed? When there is a blocked punt? when a receiver knocks a ball up in the air allowing for a pick 6? do you think those events all happened because Arizona caused them to happen by their superior play, or do you think that it is possible that an iowa player did make a mistake to help Arizona? I do agree with your premise that Arizona had to capitalize.....but capitalize on Iowa's mistake.

I agree with the Clown. AZ had pretty much one drive all game and they did that when they needed too. AZ got the lead by being opportunistic and making plays, which is how we came back. In the both teams probably felt like they left plays on the field and made stupid mistakes that helped the other team. AZ beat us fair and square.

Both teams made mistakes. One team just capitalized on the mistakes 1 more time that led to the win. Arizona beat Iowa. Iowa didn't beat Iowa. That is weak talk and I guarantee you that you would never hear Ferentz say that.

I am in no way saying I think Arizona is the better team. Hell I had 100 bucks on the Hawks to win. But they were the better team that day.

Did you go to Iowa? I did. I have more invested in the Hawks than 60% on this board. I just happen to be an ISU fan first

Looks like somebody broke out the ISU trolling handbook! I've seen it before. I'm pretty sure chapter 1 focuses solely on asking Iowa fans if they went to Iowa. It's an essential tool to drive home for all ambitious cyclone trolls.

As for contributing to the thread...

You have to beat Iowa, and AZ did beat us.

I agree sort of with this. On the punt block it looked like Arizona had dialed something up there.

Same with the kickoff return. We didn't even get a hand on the guy. To not get a hand on a kick returner you have to have a pretty quick returner. Also everyone needs to block. They earned that one too.

The only thing AZ didn't earn was the fluke off the finger tips pick 6. That was Iowa beating themselves there.

AZ coaching staff spent a lot of energy on beating Iowa. Much like McCarney used to do.

Nah, I'm just doing it now because it pisses you off. My actual opinion on the matter is irrelevant but ruffling your feathers will help pass the time away on a boring Friday at work. Carry on sir.
