In the Iowa-PSU series the last decade,I think the favorite has lost almost every time. Iowa will be the favorite this year. Home favorite has lost bout every time. Iowa will be the home favorite. Beware this game,Hawkeye fans. PSU is quietly seething about Iowa's run on them,and this is their chance for major get-back.
Iowa has to win the battle in the trenches,both sides,to have a good chance in this game. Shut down Royster(186yds yesterday) and make Bolden beat us. On offense, run the ball, protect Ricky,and beat them on play-action. Win the turnover battle. And play strong special teams. This is gonna be closer than Iowa fans think...Iowa 24 PSU 20.

If Iowa gives up 20 to this PSU team we're not as good as we think. PSU only managed one touchdown against Temple and that was in the 4th quarter. Iowa just needs to do what it does. Keep the ball in front of them, shut down the run game and make the freshman QB beat them consistently. On offense our balanced attack should be more than enough to get this done and it shouldn't be closer than 2 scores.

If Daryl Clark couldn't even play passably...I don't expect Bolden to be able to.
If their OL couldn't block us last year and they just lost one of their best ones...I don't expect them to be able to block us this year.
This isn't your father's PSU team, boyz...very pedestrian...

I agree with JHHawk. I think this is a much tougher game than a lot of our fans think it will be. Their defense will be fired up and ready for us and I think tough to score a lot of points on. Also, I know he's a freshman, but don't underestimate Bolden. But the real key will be stopping their running game.
