Just curious why my thread was taken down?

Get used to it, I have one taken down every once in a while and get a insulted in my inbox by whoever did it. No explanation just, "Quit being an ***" or something like that.
 


In general terms then, I have a real problem with athletes being on scholarship and not participating without explanation while thousands of people can't even scrape up enough cash to pay for college.
 


I know crew, it isn't fair. It's been my experience that the surest route to a happy and successful life is to spend multiple hours a day complaining about things that are not fair.
 


You would think I had a link to craigslist adult section in my post with this kind of censorship

No mod would ever take down a thread, then verbally accost you. Come on now.
 




I missed your original post. However, if it pertained to our ex-rb it was probably taken down. There has been a lot of gossip and HN has taken a stance to limit posts on that topic.
 


A comment in your thread may have contained speculation about the personal reasons for a player's departure. The site administrator has been appropriately sensitive to his privacy considerations. That is my guess.
 


well eliminate the gossip then, but my questions were valid...I did not gossip one iota...the rest of my post should have been left up...other posters comments could be removed on the gossip side of things

Sit back and take what? It doesn't impact me. It doesn't impact anyone else either. It's not like Wegher's scholarship money would be going to one of the "thousands of people who can't scrap up enough cash to pay to college".

Most of us have better things to do than sit around nitpicking the decisions of the CEO of the most successful organization in the state of Iowa.

so if something in life is wrong or "not fair" just live with it right Duff, I'll try to spread those words of wisdom around for you...or can I attribute them to you?

LOL! Maybe it's because your original post had absolutely ZERO content to it ... nor did you provide credible supporting arguments to give it any substance.

For example, right in this post, you're complaining about student athletes supposedly not participating ... however, what legit evidence do you have of any player who, by their own choice, was not busting their tail on the gridiron?

Furthermore, as for the emotional "hook" about the fact that thousands cannot afford college ... well, ask yourself WHY the athletes are on scholarship in the first place! It's because football is an absolutely HUGE revenue stream for the university. In order to keep that revenue stream in place ... you need to keep the infrastructure in place ... and furthermore you need to make sure that you have talent both on the roster and on the coaching staff.

If you want to complain, why don't you complain about private enterprise not funding more merit-based scholarships?

We are not going to get into discussions on the nature of Wegher's leave of absence on this website. Thanks for your complete and total cooperation on this front.
 


It should be explained? A scholarship players abscence....Who's to say we don't beat AZ with him in tow...it affects the team obviously

Its not going to 'explained' on this site until Brandon chooses to make his decision a matter of public record.
 


where else in life is there going to be such a coverup to protect someone's privacy? This is unrealistic. He is in the public eye, the truth will eventually come out anyway. That aside, if a guy can be on scholarship without participating where does it end? Sorry coach I am stressed out, need a year or two off. it's called life
 


Your motives are pretty clear. You act like a troll, sound like a troll, etc. Maybe they miss you from wherever you came from, but I doubt it.
