After this long will Vander Zee see a snap this season? For the way they made that injury sound, he should have already been back.

The Kirk depth chart has typically been backwards-looking, so who knows what we will see on Saturday in Camp Randall.

The absolute best thing for Iowa would be to get RVZ a medical redshirt. Why waste a season of eligibility on half a schedule and high potential for re-injury?
KF said at his press conference today that RVZ was good to go. So it sounds like they plan on playing him.

Well that’s good news. If I were him I’d prob take the redshirt. Couldn’t he play in a game or two and still get one?
I don’t know the rules on medical redshirts and I’m too lazy to look.

It would seem to me it’d be easier to justify if you played 5 games and had to sit the rest of the year due to injury vs sitting 5 games and coming back.

But I’m sure there’s a rule or guideline somewhere.

From what I have seen just from a fast look, the rules allow a player to play up to 4 games and still get the reshirt. Im pretty sure it mentioned you can be injured and then play a few and redshirt. But im not 100%, was a real quick search

Yes, you can play in up to four games and still take the redshirt. You would have to think that is on their minds.

This is a game where Iowa really needed RB Patterson. Vs the #1 rush defense in the nation (!), the best strategy is to hit the hole hard, straight, and fast -- which is his style. If Iowa's RBs dance around, they'll be lucky to top 50 yds. Michigan did put up 175 on the ground last Saturday vs Wisky, but the bulk of that yardage was on 2 carries.
