Fire up, north end zone!following IU's loss at OSU last year, Cignetti sited "crowd noise" as one of the most significant problems they faced. He said they were not ready for that.
Yep -- so they'll no doubt be better prepared on Saturday. That said, their current starting QB transferred in from Cal, so he's never played a game before 70,000 screaming fans before. Our only hope is that he gets a little flustered and/or they make some penalties and get off-schedule offensively. Otherwise, it's just gonna be a looooooong game for Iowa's defense. And the quick footwork of the Hoosier DLine made Illinois' OLine look like they were in quicksand. Their entire team started a little slow this season, but man, the last 2 weeks they've played at an insane level.following IU's loss at OSU last year, Cignetti sited "crowd noise" as one of the most significant problems they faced. Illinois had their QB sitting back in the pocket like a sitting duck. If Iowa leaves Gron in the pocket for anything other than screen passes or quick slants or drop-offs to the RBs, he'll be cooked too. Fortunately, we have a QB who can roll out to either side, which they'll need to do A LOT.If I was betting and I’m not I would have to take Indiana and give 3 points. Not only worried we can’t stop their offense. But they really throttled the Illinois offense
Hopefully we can play ball control and get a couple turnovers

Vegas has it 3. I think 7.5 more reasonable but it is at IowaI'm seeing the line is Indiana by 7.5.

Vegas does those goofy openers all the time. It's how they get activity started and how they get a feel for which direction it's going to go.It supposedly opened somewhere at 3, but all the Vegas lines are showing -7.5 to -8.5 right now, with most at 7.5.
