Penn State fires offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich

Brian might get poached from us before end of the season now after yesterday’s game and offensive production by PSU! Can you imagine Iowa playing PSU with Kirk as Iowa HC and Brian as PSU OC?! Phil take it easy on him outta respect for Kirk or shut him out?

Penn st will hire the best candidate in a few weeks. Ferentz will wait until the offseason to “review at the end of the season” and snatch some has been out of retirement

Their problem is they don't understand that while they have a very solid program and a storied history they are not Ohio, Georgia or Bama. They will get one window per decade, maybe two. That Allar kid looks pretty decent, you gotta keep a system in place for him. You keep Allar happy, get a few guys in the portal and circle next year as the year for the run as Michigan breaks in a new QB and Ohio deals with life after Marvin Harrison. Throwing out the coordinator and system at this point likely puts them in a worse spot for next year than they otherwise would have been in. You get heavily involved in the tinkering game and you're far more likely to turn into 'Braska than 'Bama. PSU has a good team, but you can't blame the coach every time they lose to Ohio or Michigan, those programs are just better than PSU.

Look at all the "come and gone" college franchises - Clemson most recent, but Texas, OK, LSU, USC, ND, etc. Nebby is more like Wiscy who should be a warning to everyone wanting KF replaced with a fancy offensive minded coach.

I want a better offense but don't want a major shift in identity of the team.
