The Circus is in town official game thread

Have we ever had an opposing player's number more than Gabe Kalescheur?

Going back to his Minnesota days, you could build that new arena in downtown IC with all the bricks he's laid.

it is not just him. none of those dudes can shoot. Unless Grill is on fire(no pun intended) they ain't beating people with jump shots.

Strange game and strange season thus far. Coming into this season I would have picked Patrick and Sandfort to be Iowa’s best shooters but thus far they both are playing like freshmen.

withstand the early run in the 2nd half and they can cruise to victory. ISU will win games but it won't be because of their ability to make jump shots.
They were starting to punch the ball inside. Need to harass those guards. But generally speaking they're not designed to come back from huge defecits like this.

Iowa can grind this out. Fouls going to play a factor down the stretch. Ulis can get in the lane and to the hoop when ever he wants. As he develops that, with our wings, that’s gonna be nice.

Holy cow!

Maybe Kris should sit out a couple months:)

Well what can happen with a star player is the other players start to depend on that star player and don’t quite get into the game. There is a tendency to stand flat footed. With Chris being out all the players feel a need to contribute so they put out that extra effort instead of just trying to get the ball to Chris.

It is Kris with a 'K'. just sayin, not trying to nitpick.

That was Dean Smith's claim. (And that was just a walk on Osunnyi) That a team will always rise up the first game after a key player goes down.
