Indiana Game: Digging Into The Stats.

In breaking down the stats, congrats Iowa. Iowa out-rebounded Indiana 35-31 and held in an advantage in O rebounds 16-12. Excellent!

Boy, Indiana gave up a gawdy total of 38 possessions to Iowa. Iowa turned Indiana over 23 times and got 15 steals! There is the game there, as Indiana shot a better % of 50.9 to Iowa's 44.4%. Iowa got the extra possessions to make that up. Fun game to watch and looked to be Kris Murray's coming out party.

Keegan has been talked about being a NBA prospect and Kris has the same body and build. It's a luxury having two players on the court with NBA bodies and athleticism. The athleticism shows and shows why NBA teams are interested in players with that body build. Kris led the team with 11 rebounds and Keegan had 9 which is #1 and #2 for the team. The next closest players had 4. Iowa also had 7 blocks but not sure how exactly those are divided up, but presume Kris and/or Keegan accounted for a few.

Nice bounce back Iowa.

Great effort they played hard in the 2nd half hustling big time. The stat I noticed that was just odd and different was that no Hawkeye had more than 2 assists. A few guys had 2 but everyone else had 1 or none. We shot 25 FTs which is partly why but still. It wasn't like we scored 50 pts we put up 83.

So happy for Kris M. Dude just stepped up and balled out. He's smooth with that left hand and his moves around the hoop. Scored in the face of TJD a few times and that's no easy task (ask Josh O) Now that he's had a game like that his confidence should be through the roof and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the league

Someone on another post stated our guard's defense is weak. We are very athletic at that position. JT, Ulis, Perkins can man up on anyone. Wonder if we will see Perkins 6-4, in starting lineup to match up with bigger guards and help rebound

Just to clear up a point, a steal for Team A is a turnover for Team B. So of Indiana's 23 turnovers, 15 were steals by Iowa. That means 8 were unforced turnovers.
