I F'n hate NE

I revel in Nebby’s misery as much as anyone. I listen to their call in shows after losses. It’s great.

A lot here are not going to like this, but Nebraska fans actually have numbers to back this up. Mike Riley was a disasterious hire and, this important, their AD paid the price. Outside of that, Bo had 66 wins during his tenure. Iowa has 54 during that same span. Callahan had 24 wins. Iowa had 29 during that period. Solich killed it, don’t need to into that.

Point being, striving for higher success and firing coaches for not performing isn’t as bad as some people make it out. Sure you could land a Mike Riley(which even a competent AD could have avoided honestly), but you might also win 9 or 10 games consistently like Bo and Solich did.

Yeah, they've been pretty good in the past, and likely will get better, really no reason they shouldn't. That said, an awful lot of those 9-10 win seasons where in a time of really bad B12 conferences.

Riley was a bad hire, so was Callahan. The other 2...fired for 9 win seasons...that's the delusion.

Well, today they suffer at the hands of the Hawks and last year and the year before and the year before, 5 of the last 6 actually, and the one you dont feel great about. Hey, we are in the midst of a 100 yr rebuilding plan as well. Good luck Huskers. Oh, and, suck it. Enjoy the next 360 some odd days until there is another 360 some odd days to suffer. You are going down hard the next time as well. They all count.

What I find funny, Nebraska fans (and some Iowa fans)
Nebraska is turning it around. Look at the improvement, it's so obvious.
Let's see, MSU and OSU are way down, I mean way down.
So they gave Iowa a close game.
Somehow they think that only when they are down can they give anyone a close game? That when another team is down Nebraska will blow their doors off? Hmmmm
Really how close of a game was it? We missed a fg, gave them another shot at a fg and gave up a td on a fake kick. That's a 13 point swing.

Just saying.
I think they will get better, but I ain't scared.

What's bad is everyone thinks that because you have disdain for each other, you are rivals.
That's not how it works.
Wisconsin is Iowa's rival.
Nebraska is like Northwestern. Heck they both even pretty much want to run the same offense.
Pita? Sure. Rival? Not really.
That has nothing to do with w/l.
The only thing that separates the Nebraska game from Northwestern, Purdue or Minnesota is that it's been the last game of the season. Which is why, I think you will see more eyes on TV's in 2020 and the reason the b10 did that.
We win the west next year and in 2020 that game is going to be the biggest matchup the west has had to date!

Rivalry or not, can be debated. But this cannot. Because of their team's pregame antics and punkish play on the field, their starters being too cool to participate in the wave, their fans refusal to acknowledge the reality that they suck, and their overall douchiness, I move nebby up to my most hated team and fans. Thereby bumping isu to #2.

When it comes to isu, I at least have respect for them. They've earned it. Nebby has earned nothing, yet think they deserve to be considered college football gods. Screw nebby and their weak assed team.

As much as I'd hate to admit, I kind of agree. Our coaching will hamstring us going forward.
Not until they can recruit or develop lineman who can block and tackle. And they might. But it's going to take more than pretty four and five star skill position players.

Even going back to Osborne's glory days when they did dominate. The core of those teams was offensive linemen who lived in the weight room and rock solid defenses.

Nebraska fans are delusional about where they think their program is but they are pretty much spot on regarding Iowa’s program when they say things like Iowa has plateaued and that they accept mediocrity.
If Iowa is mediocre then what is 23-27 over the last four years?

All anyone needs to know about nubby fans is they weren't satisfied with Frank Solich winning 10 games. Been downhill since. They deserve all the misery that can be bestowed upon them.

Most programs have a level of regret or embarrassment over repeated bad coaching hires. Or worse, when the new coach does worse then the old coach.

But now it seems like nebraska wears it like a badge of honor.

Their failure is just evidence of their future success.
