Who is the last coach to go 14 years without a conference championship?

And still keep his job the whole time?

I’m sure it happened way back when coaching changes weren’t common but the last 40 years?

That doesn't bother me as much honestly because plenty of teams have gone 14 years with 3 different coaches and not even sniffing a CC (or a trip to Indy under the newer model). What bothers me is the constant choking.

You forgot that the fraud gets paid like he’s a title contender and hands his unqualified son a dream job in addition to never winning the conference.

About 8-9 years ago I used to think that Ferentz was worth every bit of his salary. I don't feel that way anymore.

Too bad we have an AD who hands out 10 year extensions like candy.

Prior to yesterday’s game the TV broadcast team (not the game broadcasters) were talking about Kirk / Iowa and their unique long term relationship just prior to kickoff. Most of it was positive but the panel analyst did throw in the comment that very few schools & fans in this day and age accept 6-6 seasons as OK and that this must be factored into this long term employment story.

If you’re one of the fans who doesn’t accept this you’re a maniac and take it too seriously, so watch out! Even people who make some good change of fans like that like to crap on them.

So how's it going for you, having to accept it?

Any year where we play someone in non conference and when we play top teams from b10 east. Ferentz has taken advantage greatly of lame scheduling, down isu and weak b10 west for years

^^^^ This is exactly how I feel.

I'm tired of being let down time and time again because Iowa never rises up to win the important games. I have totally lost faith in their ability to do so until they prove otherwise. This is nothing new and has been going on for most of the last decade. I respect KF as a coach and appreciate what he has done, but right now I'm convinced this won't change until he retires. I do feel that BF has a higher level of killer instinct than his father, and has what it takes to get Iowa to the next level.

I think KF had that killer instinct one time, too. Not anymore. He gets his job extensions, so what else is there?
