Wisky - now looking like a toss up, their Dee is weaker, QB is avg and pickable, contain their run game and I pick Iowa
Minny - Hawks in a close one, havent watched them but I think hawks more physical
IU - this could be a tough one as they seem to have offense and are they due against the hawks - I go with IU upset
Terps - which terps team shows up; actually at Kinnick I pick Iowa as long as we control their quick QBs
PSU - have to go with the Lions but would love to see KF start to get the swagger back in happy valley
Purdue - they lost a lot of Dee it seems and hawks tough Dee wins this for Iowa
jNW- maybe not that good; is Akron Good??? - Iowa wins
Illinois - Hawks should just plain win this one with just a good solid above avg game
Nebby - I am calling a good solid Iowa win

I have them going 7-2 the rest of the way.

What you got?

I predict they will stay undefeated until they lose.

9-3 would be a poor performance at this point. 10-2 should be a minimum. This schedule is weak, so everything should be in play.

The range from 10-2 to 12-0 still exists as likely. I'll take 10-2 for now. Wisconsin and Penn State losses. I think we can and might beat Wisconsin, but, aww heck, 11-1 final answer.

How do you suppress that guy feeling that we will actually lose to somebody we are way better than?

I'm going to hold judgement on Penn State until they play Ohio State. They looked really vulnerable against App State. App State got to McSorely. If you make them one dimensional, and force McSorely into clear passing downs...well...that pretty much feeds into the strength of our team.

Wisconsin has simply had our number...and they have just abused our running game. That being said...I think Iowa had Ohio State circled last year...and a great game plan. If there is any game from last year that I think the staff spent considerable time analyzing over the summer, it was Wisconsin. I'm anxious to see how we attack that defense.

I don't think Minnesota has played a good defensive football team yet...so their offense is kind of a mystery at this point. Freshman QBs typically don't fare well against Phil Parker defenses. That being said, their defense may be pretty good...Fresno State had a good offense.

Purdue and Indiana are going to be tough games...road games in the B10 are always hard...unless you can score points in bunches. We don't do that, so the 3-6 point home field advantage makes a difference in the way Iowa typically plays.

Wisconsin. It's a Kinnick so Iowa gets the edge. Albeit a slight edge. Iowa

Minnesota. We've seen them at 3-0 before. They haven't played a team with a pulse yet. They will take a loss at Maryland before Iowa stomps on them.

Indiana. Offense; Edge to Indiana. Defense Iowa. They'll probably be 4-2 when they host Iowa, but that's misleading. Iowa wins.

Maryland. Good team with some flaws. Iowa's defense should contain their offense. At Kinnick. Iowa wins.

Penn State. Tough game anyplace. Iowa has the better defensive line. In Happy Valley. Penn State.

Purdue. Good offense. No defense. Iowa.

Northwestern. Their fortunes are tied to Clayton Thorson. He's limping and so are they. They will be lucky to get a bowl game this year. Iowa.

Illinois. They are young and getting better but...... Iowa wins.

Nebraska. Another team with quarterback troubles. And they still have Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State on their schedule. And they finish off the year with a trip to Kinnick. Iowa.

I picked Iowa 10-2 before the season. Next week is the pivotal game. Iowa wins that and......

If we had an offense in the 60s like when KOK was OC, we would probably go undefeated. I think we would win the West easily.

But, i don’t see our offense being that efficient. Nate’s throws are nearly uncatchable. He has one or two passes a game where he’s got some touch and accurate, the rest are behind and in the damn dirt.

Unless our offense can “fix” whatever is wrong, i see a few losses because of them.

When i say fix, i don’t think anything is broke. This is just how KF runs an offense

Nate's trouble is he is hurrying his throws when he doesn't need to. And he is under throwing a lot of passes. Against UNI he was better but the problem is still there.

You know there is a place for Stanley that lies somewhere between "let's throw in the towel" and he's "headed to the NFL". Still plenty of time for him to elevate his game this season.......he took a nice step forward Saturday. We haven't exactly aided him with our WR core and our OL is still finding their way.

Have a feeling we're going to see the playbook open vs WI with a number of new looks we haven't seen this season.

If you listen to the pundits thrashing the B1G-West....10-2 would be akin to 6-6. ;)

Be prepared for lots of it especially if we put something special together as the season progresses. I welcome the onslaught vs. other alternate scenarios.
