Practice Pictures?

Still no practice pics. No updates either? Kirk must have it locked down after the legal incidents.

How tall is running backs coach Derrick Foster? I am guessing 5' 6". He looks like he is about 1-foot shorter than all the QB's.

We could use Daviyon in the middle this year. Hope he keeps those grades up--looks like a manimal. If A. Nelson sticks around, D-Line 2019 could be explosive.

I guess i can look this up from all the stories from when Foster waa hired. This bio info is from a story in Hawk Central.

Foster is a native of Goshen, Alabama, population 255. At just 5-foot-8, he was a 1,000-yard rusher in high school and went on to play at Southwest Baptist College in Missouri. There, he was converted to wide receiver. Screen plays were his specialty.

“I was a scatback kind of guy,” Foster said. “Quick, in and out, jittery guy.”

He caught 93 passes as a three-year starter and then embarked on a coaching career, with stops at Tennessee, Northwestern State and Valdosta State. At Valdosta, in southern Georgia, Foster was on the same staff as Seth Wallace. When Wallace moved on to Iowa, where he coaches linebackers, he put in a good word with Ferentz about his former colleague.

TE Shaun Beyer #42, I think he went to CR Kennedy? Is he 3rd team TE? He had an incredible senior year while at Kennedy. Hope he see's playing time this year.

Yeah they put him in for a few snaps and targeted him in the bowl game once. I dunno if he'll be the 3rd TE so much because that guy is asked to block mostly and Wieting is good at that. But look for him to play some more for sure.

I'm going to say, we can take RB off the list of areas of concern. Practice photos always give you tremendous insight. That being said, the image of Toren and IKM going through the steel barrier intended to lower their center of gravity was pretty impressive. Add in the JUCO transfer and Geil, plus others...they sure look the part.

We saw Jones, but not many other shots of the LBs.
