1991 the forgoten year

Hard to forget that year. Anyone else on campus during the gang lu shooting? I was in the pentacrest, snowy day....sad day.

No but I saw Lu a time or two down at the Sport's Column the summer before the shooting. Least I think it was him. He used to stand and drink beer by himself.

LeRoy Smith - 214 pounds. What?

Also, Bielema sighting.

Last, why was Jim Hartlieb playing that day?
And another thing, Skillet wasn't a very good kicker, at least not what I see in these 3 videos.

I drove home in the snow storm that friday night. A normal 2 hr drive took 7 hrs. And this was before cell phones so my parents, who can think the worst, thought I might have been shot since they couldn't get in touch with me.

I really thought they were going to cancel the game but glad they didnt. Win at osu...nearly impossible the last 70 years. Crazy we won.

1991 perfect storm from the Atlantic. People in the twin cities still talk about that Halloween blizzard. Over 2 feet of snow with some ice mixed in.

The 1991 Hawkeyes came to mind as hawk9839 made mention of them in the regretable play thread. Some memorable players on that team. They were very good. Finished 10-1-1

I have never seen anything like what they showed in the video. When they came back from a TV break Brent ask the Iowa fans to explain what happened to the football. The ball just seems to have disappeared into thin air. You see the ball going to our receiver he catches it and runs with the ball and gets tackled. When they get unpiled the ball is no where to be found. It did look like a player on the Iowa sideline possibly had a football under his arm but on the replay there is no evidence of the ball ever rolling out of bounds. LMAO!!!
