I don't understand Fran

You offense has plowed its way back from an eleven point deficit to take a one point lead and you have the ball. What does Fran do instead of running the offense that got you the lead? He has his guard stand out and dribble the ball until there is eight seconds left on the clock. This gives you two passes at most and then you have to shoot the ball and usually it's a crappy shot. I wish Fran would stop this shit. It don't work most of the time.

Also why do our Bigs over-hedge so much? I have never seen another college team do that. It creates a scramble for our defense and TCU just carved us up all night.

Maybe Fran needs to talk to their coach and ask for pointers on how you pass the ball and move the players so you can get the ball in the paint so easily.

It is so frustrating to see a coach keep making the same coaching mistakes and just keep going back to the same thing over and over and over again. I can see trying to do something but at some point he should be smart enough to conclude certain things have a high percentage of chance of failing........... but nooooooooo!!!

Stubbornly doing the same thing over and over to an end which produces lackluster results? Thank goodness that trait doesn't exist anywhere else within Hawkeye sportsdom.

I thought Lackluster got canned?

HORRIBLE decision to dish away the ball at the end.....TCU must have been in disbelief. I wasn't.....I'm used to it.

Thank goodness! We lose a game and all of the geniuses come out of the woodwork to blast Fran. Glad to see you guys back! I thought maybe you died in a car accident while Iowa was playing outstanding basketball at the end of the regular season.

Look Fran did a great job getting them back in the lead but then turns around and has a KF brain fart that cost them the game. If it's such a great strategy then why didn't he do it towards the end of the overtime period when he was down by two points????? What did he do then? He ran his regular offense because he needed to score.

People get p!ssed off because they invest their heart, emotions, and time into following the game. Then a coaching mistake cost them the game. It would have been nice for the fans and players to get to New York and then we could have had some solace in the season.

If he won, Fran's strategy pays off - and he's a genius - if he loses he's a bum and it's his fault and strategy that lost it- judging in hindsight is what we get the luxury to do as fans. He did what he thought was the best strategy - you let your players try and execute it and you live with the results. Fran has a pretty good core on his hands that wasn't quite ready to be "great", I take solace in that.

I'd say Franny has the next two seasons to deliver. We need to see a good reg season run, and runs in the BTT and Dance both years. Just no excuses at this point.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!! You funny!!!!!! Oh they will be out there fully supporting him even if we have the same ole same ole and they will be talking about some fifth grader recruit that is going to change things when they get here.

agree on all points - I actually like Iowa to contend for the regular season title next season so no excuses moving forward. That said, I can't sit here a lament over something that hasn't been allowed to happen yet. My expectations are sky high moving forward. Anything other than a top 5 finish in the B1G over the next 3 seasons will be a let down.

That's hardly true and I don't know what would even make you think that. Because people had patience in a rebuilding year?

Where have you been the last eight years? Lickliter is long gone and we can't even get past the the first round of the BTT. THe

I've been right here. Wish the Hawks could do better in the BTT too - but I care more about NCAA's and regular season then a 5 day one off tournament. Iowa has finished in the top half of the B1G what 5 straight? Winning conference record 4 straight? Post season 5 years straight - 3 NCAA's? Not bad considering where it came from and what the future looks like. I get what you're doing here, it's easy to come on here the day after a loss and run shop - I just don't particularly get what you get out of it.
