I've heard that for the women's game it possible depends on the attendance count for the next game. Is it the same way for the men's game also? For hosting the 3rd. game.

No, in the men's the higher seed gets the home game up until the semi finals which is in MSG. So if Iowa wins it is guaranteed another home game even if nobody shows up.
