Change of Time for South Dakota Game

JFC whatever Syracuse wants - this has to hurt a little no? - went from a decent night to take the kids to a well maybe we'll be home by midnight right?

Just a freaking basketball game. They're getting dumped on out east and probably some people are hurting as a result. Time change no biggie to me.

Cheese and rice .. .. east coasters are wimps when it comes to winter weather .. .. ;) lol .. ..

Really .. .. no biggie.

GO HAWKS!!!

We should probably be happy. When I first saw the postponement I was worried Iowa was gonna get bumped to espn3 or the ocho

True. When a snow storm hits the NE, it's the end of the world. When Iowa gets it, crickets.
I have a brother who lives in Washington, DC, and one that lives on Cape Cod. Both born and raised in NE Iowa, as was I. I mentioned once about how when it snows on the east coast, they can drive because they were raised in the "snow belt". Both of them said that when it snows .. they stay home because while they know how to drive in the snow, no one else does. lol

Apparently you don't have two children you're taking to the game. Yes, they are probably old enough to handle it, but 6:00 worked out great to get them home at a decent time. I personally like 8:00 games but when taking kids it's a different story. It's not so much this storm that made me make my comments.

It was a general comment how the coastal population gets preferential treatment compared to what we get in the midwest. As stated above, it's often crickets when something happens around here or we need fed disaster aid. Seems we have to really fight for it while they hand it out freely to California or the east coast.

I had a few people Tweet at me that they wouldn't be able to go now because they were bringing small kids with school tomorrow. My kids are on spring break but apparently not all of the state has it this week.

Anyway, I think the change will prevent some folks from going but might open it up for others. People have different schedules. It does suck for those people that were planning on bringing their families and can't now.

Actually I do have two kids and, as a matter of fact, we were going to drive to I.C. for the game until they changed the time. Sucks for sure but the inconvenience isn't as bad as the inconvenience at they're experiencing out east. So, personally, I sucked it up and will watch it on TV.

Oh I agree, but we've had our share of bad snow storms previous years as well. I remember in 2008 and 2009 getting blasted 3 times a week with various 5-6 inch followed by a 10 inch then 5 inch again. I had snow so high the one yearf I couldn't pile it up with my quad blade anymore. but yea, they got hit this time.
