..getting a #1 seed in the NIT.
Thanks refs for corn-holing us @ Minney.
That and a no show In BTT and oh yeah that damn Omaha game....
We were a terrible team when we played Omaha so it's hard to get upset about a terrible team losing to a slightly more terrible team.
Lots of What ifs. Too many.
Next year we need to leave no doubt,
Thanks for that..."What if" is kinda the theme of Iowa basketball over the last 30 years.
What if they didn't blow the lead against UNLV in 1987
What if Davis does a better job with that core over the next 2 years
What if the Chris Street tragedy didn't happen
What if Iowa wasn't seeded 9 after finishing 2nd in the B1G in 1996-1997
What if Recker doesn't get hurt in 2000-2001
What if Alford didn't lose the team the following season
What if Brunner hits 2 FTs late against NW St
What if the team didn't implode in 2013-2014
Like I said, it's their theme
Yeah it would be a theme if these weren't completely different players. Thanks for that...

That game for me is not really a "what if" because we we were ahead and had the game won if not for the refereesI have read any number of arguments that "what ifs" could be interjected in a variety of situations during this past regular season. However, I would reject virtually all of them, since I see the horrible officiating at the end of the MN game as a very different circumstance. The bottom line is that if the call had been made correctly, and taking into consideration Iowa's total season, we would now be in the NCAA tournament. The idiot who screwed that game up for Iowa owes us a public apology and a resignation. This is big time basketball, not without a lot of $$ at stake. Sorry for my rant, but this one will take a long time for me to forget.

What if Ronnie Lester doesn't injure his knee .. ..
What if the team didn't implode in 2015-16.. What if Raef LaFrentz had come to Iowa... Etc. etc.
We could do this all day.![]()
