It is the 6'5 frame, it is the long arms, it is the wingspan. He is built like a guy who could potentially fill it up. Fans are just going to have to be patient with him it will probably take the whole year before you get any offensive consistency.

You insinuated pretty freaking hard that CW sucks. All the he couldn't even beat out Ellingson, and a bunch of other stuff. If you actually think he will be good, that certainly didn't come through in your posts.

Not a big deal, maybe you were just trying to stress the point of why you didn't think he could possibly be the 2nd leading scorer, but it did come off as you thought he stunk.

I think he will be a below average PG and I think that's almost a guarantee for next year at least. Part of that I think is his ability and part of it is he's playing out of position. I don't think that is implying he sucks

Don't let the mental midgets put words in your mouth. You and I both pointed out the obvious flaws with CW at PG. The cheerleaders didn't like it and attacked us. Now that the results from the PTL. Season are in.....they have to paint your opinions in the harshest way possible, so they don't look like the fools they are. This will continue through the season as it becomes more obvious to everyone else.

You are a liar. I never once said CW was going to be some great PG. I am just unwilling to say he sucks at PG like you and 56.

Since you are so chummy with Fran, why don't you tell him to his face how smart he is for playing CW at PG. It isn't like PC, or I are making that decision, Fran is. Why don't you and your group of middle school coaches explain some BB to Fran to his face?

I'd rather be me than a homophobic misogynist like you, who only coachs middle school kids. Don't get me wrong, this society needs complete and total underachievers like you, but man, it would kid of suck to not be able to get any further up the ladder than the bottom rung.

You get him to a designated time and place for a conversation. I will show up and tell him to his face. Fair enough?
Why would you think I'd be afraid to say something to Fran's face? What's he gonna do? Punch me? Cut me out of his will?
I once told Johnny Orr how to coach a player to his face. He didn't punch me. He might have cut me out of his will, come to think of it.vi didnt get a dime. Hmm.

C'mon 5656. You're criticisms of CW went far beyond him being the 2nd leading scorer. Do you still think we are an NIT team? Not only that it was some of the arguments you made that really rubbed people the wrong way. I.E one moment MG was an honorable mention PG, CW will never be that, the next if CW was any good he'd have earned playing time over our PGs last year. I'll tell you this, there is a post where you said PTL stats are meaningless used to argue a point about Fleming in another thread, and in this very thread you've mentioned PTL stats in your argument...

I think we've learned some things from PTL but the season is still a few months away. If we were to run a poll now on who the second leading scorer would be I think Tyler Cook would win by a landslide, and that's not even a knock on some of the other guys mentioned.

Here's the scoop. If CW can handle the PGs duties enough to help lead Iowa to the tournament, then I think you were absolutely wrong. If he struggles, and Iowa goes to the NIT or worse, you 'da man!

Yes I think we are still an NIT team along with a lot of other fans. I posted PTL stats because PCHawk used them in trying to defend Williams before. They are meaningless and my thoughts haven't changed on WIlliams at all and wouldn't have if he averaged 35 points per game in the PTL.
