A Kirk Ferentz petition site for removal has sprung up



That petition is stupid! KF is a class act with multiple big 10 championships, coach of the year, bcs bowl win, and 4 top 10 finishes.

If anything there should be a petition to remove the msu d-bag thug u head coach. His conduct and that of his program are a disgrace to the Big Ten. He should be removed.
 


Seeing as how I have personally sent Barta an email of similar sentiment, and nothing has happened, I'll pass on signing it. It won't do any good. I also sent an email to Barta asking him to fire himself! That didn't do any good either.

Nice work. I said the same things in the survey they sent out on Friday. Maybe KF saw all the fans negative comments and figured he was coaching for the big payoff. Explains the results on Saturday.

Hopefully he gets it turned around or retires before it would actually come to this. Like Jon, I think you have to let the season play out before making any big decisions like that. And, as long as there are fans in the seats, Barta is not going to pull the trigger.

I certainly hope they either A) took the photos on the web site and the accompanying Facebook site themselves, or B) acquired permission from the entity who took the photos. They could be liable for a LOT of money using images they do no own. I do web sites and have had to clean up copyrighted material that newbs used on web sites for clients.

Who in their right mind thinks that a name coach from a major university will leave a program they are currently involved in to go to Iowa? Lou Sabin, Bob Stoops, Jim Mora and others are not coming to Iowa.
 




Kirk has a lot better grasp on reality than many give him credit for. We’re talking about a guy that cares deeply for the University, as evidenced by charitable contributions, tons of time invested, coaching his sons, etc. I honestly think he’ll do what’s best for the school. Not saying he’ll resign this year, but it wouldn’t shock me. In 16 years, I’ve never seen him act the way he did in the post-game. He wanted to get to Indy this year.
 








I do not support KF leaving the program, but if he did. Perhaps Dennis Green could be considered. He played at Iowa, and later was the running back coach. He was a head coach in the NFL. He knows they are who we thought they were. I never hear his name come up though.

Please shoot Bary Garta if he hires Dennis Green. A perenial loser in the NFL will continue that habit in college football. I'd rather have KFz.
 


I didn't sign the petition, but some of those statistics regarding his recent performance are just alarming and pathetic.

I was a strong KF supporter until this year. His unwavering support of GD has cost him my loyalty. If Kirk thinks that his offense is actually acceptable, and that GD is worthy of employment at Iowa, then I have lost all faith in KF to make the right decisions. He is a horrible game manager, his offense stinks, and this year so does his defense. I haven't seen anything to indicate that he will ever bring Iowa back to contender status in the BIG.
 






I just signed...as Gary Barta. Someone has too much time on their hands. They should be spending their time doing something worthwhile like finding a cure for ebola or baking cookies.

I have been calling for Kirk to be fired for a while now but he would be crazy to quit. I really doubt he cares as much as he did but he hangs on for 5 more years and he can retire a wealthy man.
