IOWA crushes NW, a team that has already beaten Wisconsin & yet
some whiner Hawkeye fans are continuing their whiney whine about how
Kirk didn't do this or that. LMAO.

Get behind this Hawkeye team or drag your whiney, whining whine over
to Lames. And Willies...........don't let the barn door hit you in the a** on your
way out of Iowa City..........a quitter.

Rudock, Trinca-Passat, Lowdermilk, Weisman are really excellent young men
& Great Hawkeyes.
 


It was a great win...no doubt...and I hope there are four more of them.

But this rationale is so overdone on the boards...if they go back to what has worked for them offensively i the past, they will likely have success...today was great...it;s a start but it's not yet a trend.

Agreed. I am sure you would also agree that the people that are constantly bad-mouthing every single aspect of the program and coaching staff are also overdone. I think we would all enjoy the process a little bit more if we worried less about whether or not we were right, or whether or not we win the internet. To echo your original statement: great win, let's hope for some more this month.

Will Iowa be knocking on Playoff door in December??
Only time will tell..........Hawkeyes have the table set to make a run.

What's overdone on this board is the constant trashing of the program.

I'm willing to bet that during the past two weeks the ratio of negative
trashing posts to positive supportive posts was 20 to 1... or greater.

Interesting that the vast majority of the whiny negative trashers didn't
show up in the game thread today to say positive things as the Hawks
scored a great victory.

The negative trashers remind me of a quote from Alice Roosevelt Longworth...

"If you don't have something nice to say come sit by me."

This is how things always are, always have been and always will be. People with a negative opinion are far more likely to post or share it than a positive one. It's the nature of the beast.

As for the last two weeks negative to positive ratio....uh, yeah. Kirk said they were moping around the complex.
 


Agreed. Iowa played a great game and now you have people bagging on KF because Wadley hasn't been playing all year. They have no clue what his situation was. None of them were saying he should have been playing earlier this season. Enjoy the win and whine when there is actually something to whine about.

Today's game really does validate the "criticisms" against KF and the program. Today's performance ticked off all of the boxes. Iowa performed to address the specific aspects that were the subjects of the criticisms. I'm with you, Jon. Let's pretend we've got KOK calling the plays and let JR flourish in that type of offense. Let's just flipping win. Today's Iowa team, wins the West division. That is still the floor expectation I have for this team.

If the legacy of this team is based solely on whether we beat a 3-5 Northwestern team then mission accomplished.

I think that Ferentz has certainly had some major issues putting his talent in situations to have success. I think we have the talent to beat Iowa State, but that didn't happen. In my opinion we are probably pretty evenly matched with Maryland, but two weeks ago we made them look like national champions.

If you believe that Iowa has played to it's potential all year then we disagree, nothing wrong with that.

Now it's time to spend the rest of the afternoons without posting on here, I'm too happy to spend my time arguing with strangers on the net. Not only did I get to see Iowa actually dominate someone but it was even sweeter when the losing coach was Fitzgerald. :D Now is the time to bask in a nice Iowa win and hope that it's the start of many more.
 


Isn't Weisman a transfer? Why hate on a kid because he wants to go elsewhere?
And also, does this win get back the Iowa state loss? Still haven't beaten a ranked team in 3 years. Still haven't been ranked in 4 years. Happy for the win today. Northwestern has had our number. Sets up for a possible good finish.
This is still one of the weakest divisions in power 5 football.
Can't we just enjoy this win together?

How high are you right now? Iowa could win all remaining games by 30+ and wont be in yhe neighborhood, let alone knocking on the door.

Awesome win today, now back it up at Minny and the conference may be interesting.

Nothing like the old knee jerk reaction after a win.
 


We should beat a 3-5 Northwestern team at home. That's an absolute MUST win game, if you want to compete for a BIG title. I'll withhold celebration until we beat Wisconsin and/or Nebraska.
The team looked like they played with some emotion today and we need to see more of that. Coming off of 2 weeks to digest that Maryland game, I'd expect them to come out fired up. Now lets see if they can play with the same intensity and emotion @ MINN.
 


I love how the Ferentz does no wrong crowd thinks one game solves all problems. We beat up on a terrible team. But I guess we should give ol Kirk another 10 years huh?

It would boost the program so much to make it to the big10 championship game.

This team kicked *** today and was a blast to watch. This victory also showed me just how far out of touch some of this fan base has become. I mean we have threads talking about a trips to the Rose Bowl and being in the running for a BCS Playoffs bid. Seriously that is about as Delusional, as it gets.


Right now this site is in a very nice tug-of-war battle.
