OT-High school football score of 102-6

If you look at the HS scores around the state and have watched any games lately, there are just few great HS Football games anymore. A high percentage are lopsided and not fun for either team. There is a wide gap in the Haves and Have Nots in HS Football anymore and it'd be nice to have some decent football games to watch again.

FWIW, here are some score of other games Tri-County has played this year. It looks to me like this is more of a Tri-County issue tha a Don Bosco issue.

Away08/29/2014 - FriMoravia@MoraviaL12-40
Home09/05/2014 - FriHarmonyHarmonyW44-8
Away09/12/2014 - FriNorth English@English ValleysL8-50

Away09/26/2014 - FriColo@Colo-NescoL8-62

Away10/17/2014 - Fri@Grand View ChristianL6-52

I have my thoughts on this topic(the continuous clock is a good idea at 35 point differential), but all I can think right now is.....How bad is that Harmony team??

I didn't believe it when I saw it on another site, but this is a truly stunning stat.

Don Bosco had 102 points on 14 TDs (11 rushing TDs, 1 pick-six, 1 punt return, 1 KO return).
Don Bosco ran just 21 offensive plays.

I spoke to a Don Bosco player's dad. He said that same thing. Only ran 21 offensive plays. They had their JV in the game in the 2nd quarter. Had freshman playing the 3rd and 4th.

My question is, what the heck is a team with 46 players on their roster doing playing 8-man?

I think the classification you play is based on enrollment and they must be at or near the top of that limit to play in 8 man. But I have read somewhere that they have something like 90% participation from the boys in the high school...which means that of the 50-ish boys in high school, 46 of them are playing on the football team.

You get to choose where you play. If you are over a certain number enrollment-wise, you are ineligible for the playoffs. I don't know why you would opt for 8-man when you have more than enough for 11-man.

My nephew played on DB last year & I've been to their games. They also dress the JV so they could be included in the numbers.

Well that sums it up right there. No need to criticize.

I'm guessing the game was called at some point. How do you run enough clock?

My junior year in high school (76) our #1 Hampton girls basketball team beat a first-year team, Eagle Grove, 106-7. That's right, 106-7. Trouble is the scoreboard only went to 99, so it looked as if we lost 07-06.

SCOREBOARD B!TCHES!!

SCOREBOARD.

wait what?
