I hope they are right, Vegas has the Hawks as 13.5 point favorite over Purdue. Seems a bit high to me.

Depends on which QB plays...this sounds right with CJ.....with Jake, probably should be 3 points.

Iowa should not overlook Purdue(or anybody). They need to play a complete game and improve in LB coverage, RB vision.

Purdue can score points regardless of this b.s. premise of weak B1G schedule. The B1G is down for sure, but I DONT think there's any gimmees on the schedule.

P.s - smart money takes the under. Although is Iowa plays well I like them by 10+

Hawks opened -13.5 ahead of the ISU game and didnt play with any fire.

Purdue not very good but like ISU you cant sleepwalk thru the game.

Hawks need to play 60 minutes of on fire football.

I think the loss to ISU again was a hard lesson that may have woke these guys up.

The coaches need to stretch the field on offense, spread it side to side in the 10-20 yard area, and not just short checkdowns, and pound the running game.

The defense I think will be ready from the get go and be wound up for big 10 opener. Tackling has been mostly good, dont let purdue run the ball and jump all over their main pass plays.

Go hawks, big win by 10+ points.

Some other spreads I found interesting is Michigan 8.5 over minny.

indy favored over Maryland by 3

The Fighting Cody Sokol are 33 point dogs to Auburn.

PSU 10.5 over NW

isu 22.5 home dogs to Baylor. It was not that long ago Baylor was a garbage program. It is amazing what the right coach can do for a program.

Pitt 17.5 over Akron

nebby 18 over Illanoise

They've opened with 4 straight one-score games, including such monumental opposition as Northern Iowa (1-2), Ball State (1-3), and ISU (1-2).

Iowa shouldn't be a double digit favorite against City High's JV.

I think I've been wrong about every game and this seems high to me so maybe that's a good sign for the hawks.

Iowa can beat every team on this schedule. But there's rarely if ever been a time where they've had so much talent they could look past any conference opponent.

We're screwed. Already mentally preparing for starting the b10 off with a L.

Hawks by 40 atleast. With this kind of a spread no way the Hawks dont dominate. Jake will be 45/50 with atleast 125yds of total offense.

This is a lot of points for a big time heated rivalry game.

Good point, all about the rivalry, throw out the records for this one. Plus, I believe it's homecoming for Purdue so those 30,000 engineers at Ross-Ade will be well lubed for this one. The crowd noise could be a huge factor.

Iowa can beat or lose to anyone on their schedule. They beat Pitt but lost to a 0-2 ISU team at home.

I hope for a dominant win but a nail biting victory is still a win.

Do odds makers pay any attention to the previous games? Seems like they don't when handicapping Iowa. As always, it will be a close game and I really have no idea who will win. There isn't a single game on the schedule that I feel comfortable predicting a win.
