Wasn't Trev Alberts from Cedar Falls? Eff Nebraska. And we're gonna be really sorry that the number 1 school in the world in terms of enrollees from Iowa high schools got Lazard. He should have been ours. Losing him ruined the program and coupled with the SEZ can be viewed as the day Iowa football died.

Ferentz wanted Wegher to move to slot where Wegher would have touched the ball every 20th offensive play or so. Wegher was a Ferentz mistake.

You've got to scratch your head when Ferentz makes offensive decisions. He really doesn't know what he's doing. KF should let a surrogate, who knows more about offensive philosophy, make those decisions because Iowa would be better off offensively.

^ ah, yes- good ones.

Calvin probably picked his 2nd best sport to pursue, but still showed himself to be a very promising player his RS-Fr year...never could get away from that damned injury bug his final 3 years - too bad.

Jermelle Lewis showed some flashes of being one of the most dominant backs of the KF era - speed AND power - but then those damned knee injuries...really tough.

James Cleveland. Had a promising freshman year in 2007 and then transferred to Houston, where he piled up over 160 catches for 2000 yards and 20 TD's in two seasons. My head damn near explodes trying to imagine an Iowa offense with DJK, Cleveland and McNutt at WR.

I can't remember where I read it, since it's been so long ago. But Lewis was considered one of the very best backs in his recruiting class, right up with guys like Ced Benson, Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown. If he could have stayed healthy, he was Shonn Greene before there was Shonn Greene.

I think Wegher did a pretty good job of finding the slot on his own.
