Well I'm humbled by your suggestion, thank you. However, I can safely say that there are many more posters far more engaging than I (I may not always agree with, but they generally type from a logical POV, are usually factual, and/or provide and generate thought provoking comments from the many others. Certainly towards the top, I will throw these 5 into the pool with NCHawker: Hawkeye Walker (very spot on logic); UIHawk82; HawkeyeHypnosis (all the many links he brings); The Jumper; SSCKelly.
Of course there are many other good posters that bring it daily as well...Arewethereyet; Win1thisCentury; all the "initial" guys...JH, PMC, MHA, BCL, IBA, PC, PJ, TRJ, SDK, LG210; (Oh boy, I started, I might as well go on).
The "number" guys... digits, 22, pred40, fan33, 1Hawk1, Fov21, tm3308, 1977, mike23, 24, P2W, H8st8, Bob62.
The "name" guys....CAAR, seth, Jack, busybus, Xerx, Eda, vogs, Hoffa, Billso, Clark, Fulsa, Moses, Big D, Big Jim, Bigdaddy.
The "object/lifestyle" guys... Olddude, golfer, drummer, sportstalent, bws$, t$, cliche3, ankle, boat, Tlaker, spank LawV, spliff, sparky, scooby, evengnews.
The "conversationalist/entertaining" guys/gals...Meat, Shane, Norwalk, Freak, Dblwide, WoodyK, OK4P, Thunder. (There are certainly others I can't remember here)
The "location" guys....Vegas, NewMex, Atx (there are others here as well)
The "missing/D30" guys...Vin, Ghost, icehide, R2, duff et al.
and of course JDMiller!
These groupings are just how my memory keeps guys straight in my mind.
Heck, I can keep thinking up names all day long (or start looking them up) and I know I have forgotten many of the guys/gals whom I see and acknowledge their opinions daily. Kinda like the Seattle defense...many viewpoints, all specialist, all engaging, and without a doubt....especially with this bunch...The sum is greater than the parts

no activity...so I'm guessing a lot of folx are like me. Just read the posts and reply or not. Only notice poster name if something really obnoxious is posted or something hillarious. SO I'd say 90% of posters go without a lot of notice. Yes I recognize poster names but don't have any perceptions tied to those names. Hate to say it. So I'm flattered that anyone even notices me. I dont get into hissing matches with people - no point in it I guess. Hell, half my posts go un answered anyway. LOL.
I know the guys like Meat and others from the relatively lower volume OT forum.

Wow...I'm truly humbled by this recognition. Finding my screen name was kind of like finding anything to like about Iowa State, but other than that, thanks for the mention.
You know, there is a scientific way to arrive at the Football Posters of the Year for 2013. Have Jon run a query on the number of like versus total post during football season. Now, you have a few correlations you have to watch out for and solve for, like the fact that morons circle around morons and they could skew the results as they contemplate why we are running the same plays over and over game after game without adding anything new. Or my favorite topic of playing the second string player at most positions because they are better and the coaches obviously aren't paying attention. That never gets old. That being said, it could be done.
