Will either team slow down the tempo?

With both teams making it no secret they want to get out in transition do you see either staff finding it advantageous to slow things down? If anyone I think it might be isu if they get into foul trouble because of our depth.

Fran will never slow down, imo. When in doubt...go faster...that is Frans philosophy. If we are going to lose, lose big doing it our way...that is Frans thinking.

i think with our lineup, we need to go fast. wear the other team out. get them into foul trouble.

they have better shooters, so we're not going to win that way most likely.

the goal would be to get them out of their game and get them in foul trouble. if Iowa can't do those 2 things, might be a long night.

A clone dude was on the radio yesterday saying that Fred might try to slow things down. He probably should, since he is playing a team that is more equipped to go up and down all game than his team is. If it becomes a half-court game then ISU gets the advantage.

I am fine with isu trying to slow it down. That isn't their game. I believe you play your style. They like to run and gun to turn it into a half court game will get them out of their game along with Iowa. Plus Iowa has good rim protection that allows the wing defenders to try and jump passes so we will still get the transition going.
