I honestly thought he was ours to lose

After he named Iowa his leader yesterday on BOTH sites, he commits to Baylor tonight.

I don't get it.

Maybe we have a better shot at Evan Spencer then people think.

Jon most people believe Iowa will be taking 3 WR's at least...more likely 4.

Not to mention a prospect the caliber of Lee, you make room for.

I basically had him penciled in after reading the articles from his visit to Iowa.

Apparently we weren't family oriented enough for him. At least that's what he said in the Rivals ticker article. He said that Baylor was the only school that was family oriented.

That's not my point. Some kids don't want to see the boat getting full at their position. That's a turnoff for some. Some kids that play with the ball in their hand want to be THE man. Iowa has two WR commits in one day. So it won't be for everyone. That, and it just April 20

Translation: They gave my dad or mom a (fill in the blank).

Just joking, I don't know anything about this kid or his family.

This isn't how I wanted to start out my hawkeyenation experience for the day. I thought he was going to be a hawk and was very excited to put him and Grant together. Could've been good. Oh well, move on and get another big target.

I'm shocked as well with him going to Baylor. I was thinking he'd for sure be a Hawk. Its okay though, wish him the best! But anything can happen from now tell signing day!

Iowa got two WR commits...seems pretty logical

At 5'11", you wouldn't think JaCory would be a WR. I see them moving him to D and a punt return man.

I see the same for for Marcus, although at 6-2 he has good WR height. He had 3 Punt return TD's so they may look at him for special teams as well. Grant looks like he is a pretty good athlete with spreading time at WR, RB, and playing Defense. It will be interesting to see what numbers he puts up this fall.

I will have to go watch JaCory this fall and give up some thoughts.

I see Danzel Williams from Arlington has some interest in Iowa as well. I will have to go watch him play this fall. Looks like there are some others in the Dallas area with Iowa interest. Maybe I can be the recruiting eyes and ears for the Dallas area. :)

Hmmm....Jonathon names Iowa his favorite, then the next day decides he likes Baylor so much he will commit? I am not accusing Baylor of anything, but it is strange to say the least. I have no inside info, but this commitment seems like one that could change a few times by the time February rolls around. Especially if the Hawks have as big a season as many of us are anticipating.

The Big Twelve will be dissolved by the time this kid is a senior. Baylor is NOT getting picked up be a power league. He will finish his days playing in a league like Conference USA, along with ISU, the Sun Belt, or a depleted Mountain West, or WAC.
