Had to revive this.... Wow Gophers. I don't think we'll pass them in RPI now....

How did they hurt us by beating Indiana?

Iowa wasn't beating Indiana win or lose tonight. They don't have the fire power to beat Indiana in Bloomington. No way!!

If everything falls together and everybody plays their best game, Iowa MIGHT have a chance in Bloomington. But I really don't see it happening. The only way Minny hurt Iowa is in the seedings. Instead of a potential matchup with Wisconsin in round 2, we're now looking at a potential matchup with Sparty. While I believe we would have a chance against either team, I would have liked our chances better against Bucky. W'll see how it plays out over the next three weeks.

GO HAWKS!!!

They hurt us by most likely taking the 6th seed in the B1G tourney. I'd way rather (potentially) play Wisconsin than MSU. I think MSU would destroy us.

Both Wisconsin and MSU are playing great basketball. Iowa is not. Iowa's record is an NIT record, not an NCAA resume.

Wrong. Anyone in the top 7 in this league has the chance to beat anyone on any given night. Iowa isn't an NCAA tournament team but to say they don't have a "chance" to beat Indiana isn't true.

I actually think from a personnel standpoint Iowa matches up well with Indiana. Some teams are better matchups than others

I agree with your premise on how the teams play and types of players. Problem is they have a better answer at almost every starting position and it's on their home court. If it stays close....maybe. As hard as I've been on Woody, this might be a type of game where he frustrates them. IU is not quick.

Indiana plays much faster than Iowa and they have the athletes to win a high possession game and run you right out of the building. If you get into a high possession game with Indiana you are going to lose. I think last night showed that Zeller can be frustrated with physical play on the interior, he didn't have a good game. Jordan Hulls kept Indiana in that game with long range shooting.

You want to get up early and make Indiana show some heart and earn it. Don't let Oladipo get fast break points. Pound the ball inside to White, he needs more than 6 shots per game. If he gets it inside good things happen or he goes to the line.

So what? It's a team game. What Wisconsin starter would you take over an Indiana starter? No one.

Gophers just showed how completely overrated Indy is. We can take them...even on their floor. Bring em on!!!
