I was referring to him using the word "considered"....and since I've known Spank for 6+ years, I'll give him this one!

Another thing I found odd was the suggestion that Iowa could get the 5th seed in the conference tournament. Iowa is 2 games behind Ohio State (3 counting the tie breaker) with only 5 left to play, that seems highly unlikely.

Thanks for the link but at this point who cares what anyone predicts Iowa or the Big Ten to make/do in the NCAAs this year. Very few pundits, writers, analysts etc. etc. really watch the game(s) and know the game(s).

That's why the Vegas Bracket you posted was so refreshing and so true. These men have to be objective and without bias or they lose their *** and/or their jobs. That Vegas guy pointed out the politics and that CBS, ESPN, the NCAA all have special monied interests to hype and include the "BIG" name programs and match-ups for their own personal profits.

The NCAA Tournament is all about the matchups. I'm sure lots of people LOL'd at the guy who picked VCU to the Final Four.

The author said it's highly unlikely, and it is. But if you look at that Vegas bracket, Iowa would actually have a shot at it with those matchups (Noel-less Kentucky in round 1, Kansas in the second).

You got that right mister... it's all about match-ups. With the right match-ups, the seedings be damned. You win a game and someone you couldn't beat 9 of 10 times is upset and you don't have to play them.... you are all of a sudden in the Sweet Sixteen.

With not a lot of time to prepare for the Hawks I think they could do some real damage come March. With that said, it's always possible they play a b10 team 2nd round or something and they don't have that unknown factor going for them.

If this happens (Minny to the NIT) Tubby is gone. Just my opinion, but he has done less with more. And I'm not just talking at Minnesota .. he did the same at Kentucky as well.
