Lol at the "ceiling"
Lol at the "ceiling"
The NCAA Tournament is all about the matchups. I'm sure lots of people LOL'd at the guy who picked VCU to the Final Four.
The author said it's highly unlikely, and it is. But if you look at that Vegas bracket, Iowa would actually have a shot at it with those matchups (Noel-less Kentucky in round 1, Kansas in the second).

True, on paper Minnesota is a force. I really liked them when the B1G season began. They were so physical. I thought would just destroy people. For once a writer that makes perfect sense. I actually don't have one negative thing to say about his predictions other than the ceiling for Minnesota. But at the same time Minnesota is extremely talented (4 NBA caliber players) so even then his ceiling for them is warranted.
He also includes the big ten tourney championship, and I don't see that happening.
Neither does he. Do you understand the concept of the term "ceiling" in this context? Absolute best-case, with every break going Iowa's way. Best-case, they get the 5 seed, which puts them in great position to make a run.
I think the ceiling is correct. Although when Iowa gets in there will be a few with gut feelings that have the Hawks in the Final Four.![]()
I absolutely agree with we have to finish 5-1 and win at least one BTT game to even be considered for the dance.
I also think MSU is in for a 3 or 3/4 game slide. Their highwater mark IMO was last night's game...not unlike the Confederates breaching the angle @ Gettysburg....noble effort, not enough to win the day.
