From article:

"It is the two most storied programs in the history of college wrestling, and the tradition has been maintained," said Brands of the importance of the rivalry during his Tuesday gathering with the media inside the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex. "Both programs are competing for the same hardware along with one, two or three schools. He (OSU coach John Smith) has a good thing going down there, and we have a good thing going up here. That's why it is important, and the fans get behind it because of that."

From the article:
"While the dual as a whole is good for the sport, Evans says the Hawkeyes need to come out and make a statement.

"It's important, but it's even more important to bury them," he said. "They're ranked No. 2. You want to bury them... leave no stone unturned."

Evans' attitude is good, althought it may have produced some "bulletin board" material. He has certainly brought his "A game" the last two duals, he will need to bring that kind of action in his match against Perry!

Bulletin board antics are overhyped. I don't need someone talking about me to get me amped up for a challenge. It's not like Perry wasn't sure if he was going to give it his all, but now that Stash talked trash Perry will do his best to win the match. I like his attitude and I don't think it's inappropriate.

Completely agree. Perry wasn't sitting in his dorm thinking about how good a guy Evans was before he read his quotes. But, when you do put your quotes out there your wrestling better back it up. You don't hear quotes like that coming from kelly, moore, or telford right now.
