I'm eating crow

I was way off on my prediction for the game against Michigan. Granted we looked good for the first 17 minutes, but after that Michigan beat us like a red headed stepchild. Clemmons tried to do everything he could to stop Burke but it didn't matter. Their freshman outplayed our freshman and it wasn't even close. The only part of my prediction that I was close on was that Morgan wouldn't do anything. But then McGary stepped up, and before this game I thought he was over rated. If Michigan can play like that consistently, they are a legitimate title contender.

So here is my lunch for the day.

I'm eating crow as well. I declared Iowa basketball as being back. Wow, what a mistake that was. Even when Michigan was good back in the day, Iowa was at least competitive with them, now we're so far below competitive I cannot declare us back yet.

In 1989, Iowa gave up 119 points and lost by 23 at Michigan. The Hawkeyes won an NCAA 1st round game that year. In 1990, Iowa gave up 127 points and lost by 31 at Michigan.

Blowouts are rarely indicative of the actual difference in talent between two teams. Is Michigan better? Obviously but Iowa is capable of much better than what they showed.

Still too early to determine if they are back or not. Is back making the dance? I would assume that would be the qualification and after two games against top five teams, that is difficult to determine.

So let us guess ... it tasted just like chicken.

Do I have to eat crow since I predicted a lose of only about 25?

How does crow taste?

How is it prepared?

Any sauces that make it taste better?

OK4P, please stick to football trolling. You're so much better at it.

You wrong.. Iowa held on for 17 minutes and 30 seconds.

This was a "moral victory/defeat" learning experience....

Sometimes you get pounded only when you don't get up fast enough and get back fast enough.

Sometime in March there will be a team or two that wishes Iowa hadn't learned an early season lesson or two.
