Zero deep throws today. Zero.

I agree but..... I don't think with our power offensive line wed have time to throw deep.....this is horrible.

Yep, I've been sitting here thinking that. Iowa has taken NO shots down field today whatsoever. The only big passing play the one being where someone on Maryland's side forgot to cover our WR and we got a free 50 yard reception out of it. Otherwise, dink-n-dunk heaven.

3rd and 8, and you throw a little dump off pass for 2 yards and run out of bounds? A joke indeed.

And apparently KF has decided that he's done with CJB?

I'm extremely ticked off right now, and beyond sick of this freaking ffense.

Yeah. No doubt. Gotta work on execution. Gotta lot things to clean up. We have some things to work on.

OMG. Hilarious!

We need to go 80 yards in less than a minute with no time outs. Exactly 1 throw beyond the sticks (for about 12 yards) at the feet of the WR.

My wife said that a little into the 4th quarter. No throws deep today. Great play calling

Well KF called the game weird against Indiana.. because we made big plays by putting the ball into the hands of the few playmakers we have on this team; Powell and Parker. They were promptly moved to a secondary role this game. Cannot have that happen again.

The QB job was won by Jake with a good performance against Indiana so now we are back to check down Jake as there is no real pressure for results again.

I think GD had his game plan which worked right away and when it started to not work he couldn't move on to anything else. We got the run game going in the second half and all of a sudden went back to the short passing game. GD has to go.

Seems unimpressive.

I mean from far hash to sideline is 33 yards so until a team is within the opponents 33 yard line stretching the field would seem to indicate the defense has to cover more field vertically which would seem to mean that vertical attacks are as important as horizontal attacks. But I guess you have to game plan on using your wide receivers.

Several times today, Joey and Beth stated that Iowa's coaches liked the TE's and RB's on their LB's. Sounds like the game plan was to not use WRs.
