Zeller to IU

That's a good pickup for Indy. It would be nice to see them really turn their program around. Them being down in basketball and Michigan being down in football at the same time is beyond bizarre.

I was actually hoping he'd end up a Hoosier. Sucks Iowa wasn't able to get any of the Zellers to even consider being Hawkeyes.

I wasn't. We don't have anyone close to his talent level to match-up with! Indiana is going to be REALLY good next season. Better if he would have went to UNC or Butler, then we wouldn't have to worry about him. But now we have to worry about him for 4 years/8+ games (if he doesn't leave early).

Makes it tougher on the Hawks. When and how will they begin to compete on the recruiting trail. How will the wins come if you are continually outmanned in conference?

Only time will tell, but I think Fran is off to a good start bringing in Basabe/Cartwright and keeping Marble/McCabe for 2010. Also, a Top 150 player in Oglesby and a very solid player in White who will be a combo forward that will create mismatches.
Yes, there is still work to be done, but Fran is on the right path and has a vision. 2012 class has the potential to bring in not one, but two players (Adam Woodbury/Prince Ibeh) that will match-up very well with Zeller, but I wouldn't rule out 2011 bringing in a sleeper or a JUCO player.

Do you go through life with the same negative attitude you have on this board?
