I'd be shocked if Z isn't traded, and they are the #1 team I would look to. It's not going to be an A list prospect in return but a B list prospect is reasonable.

As much as I like Pena, if the Cubs can get a decent prospect back for him that would be a good mvoe as well.

The cubs didn't bring Pena in to hit for average, but for power and to field. If you exclude April he has done just that. It takes some time for guys who are used to playing April/May in warm weather to get used to Wrigley, I'm with you in saying I'd take Pena on a 2 year deal, but not for 10 mill a year, maybe 2 years for $5/year.

I think you're really undervaluing Pena. Aubrey huff gets 10 million, Derrek Lee gets 7 million.

10 million a year is good deal and 2/20 is reasonable. I wouldn't do 3/30 though.

If Pena could hit for average he'd be a 20 million a year player.
