Wish they had more Grandview meets at home since I live in Des Moines, not very good planning on there part they scheduled there only home dual meet the same night as Iowa vs ISU.

Been looking into flights lately not gonna be a cheap trip out east this year good thing NCAA's are coming back to the midwest for a couple years.

Right now I'm not sure what events I'll be hitting - as the wife hasn't worked since June after heart surgery. Kinda rough on the old pocketbook. I want, desperately, to go to the Iowa/Okie State meet, the closest to me for the Hawks. However, it happens to be on said wife's birthday.

I'm also hoping for at least one trip back to the home state this winter. If we can do it I'll be darn sure it will be on a wrestling weekend. :)

Thur-Sat Mar. 17-19 NCAA @ Philly (couldn't go last year due to probation so im pumped for this year!)

this is tentative because i can't go to duals during the week with the business i am in
 
Jan. 30 Iowa State @ Cornell - Ithaca, NY(The Hawks don't come out east this year, so this is the best I can do. This meet last year was a lot of fun including Nickerson decking Long in the 1st peirod)

Mar. 17-19 NCAA Championships

1/7: S. Illinois
1/16: at oky state
1/23: fosu
2/6: Indiana
2/13: Michigan
2/20: at Minnesota
3/5 & 3/6: at Northwestern Big Tens
3/17,3/18,3/19: at Phili for NCAA's

I also expect to make atleast 1 day to the state tourny here in Iowa.

Other dates:

11/13: cyclone open
12/4: Uni open

Hopefully I can hit a few more opens to watch some of our new recruits!
 
Planning all of the home meets (knock on wood) either there for TOM or in my own seats. Hoping Midlands, Big Tens, and nationals all work out this year as well.

Possible I'd make a return visit to Minnesota the weekend of the dual but that is a long way off to think about right now.

I will also try and make it to at least a couple days of State hopefully the little cousin can get #3 this year and grow into a nice 125# future Hawk.

Tob, not sure exactly where you are from but the Grandview meet is always a nice one to attend to get to see all the Hawks that will redshirt this year and other non starters compete. The Clowns and Panthers usually bring a few wrestlers to this open as well.
 
Hawks1010, I live in Nichols and my kids go to West Liberty but if its my weekend off and I could talk FF into going with me I'll try to make the trip!

By the way Cory is fun to watch!!! He is the real deal and hope to see him as a Hawk in the future!!!!!
