You guys like watching Fitz celebrate a West Title on our field?

No likey.

Shit storm of a team deserved to see it.

If the coaches have brain one, they use that as motivation????

Lol. Motivation....

At least they didn't tear down our goal posts....[/:cool::cool:QUOTE]

They should have torn it down and carried it out to the parking lot with a banner attached that says “In Kirk we trust.”

By the way where is our local Kirk Fan Club at today? Oh that’s right they will come out of the wood work IF we beat Illinois and tell us what a great coach we have. ROFLMeffingAO!!!!!!!

NW didn't even play that great.........PF knows that all he has to do is keep the game close. You can see it on his arrogant mug.
Exactly. Because he knows the Hawks will fold under pressure in the fourth quarter, and his team won’t.

He knew his team would find a way. Even after two INT's and a missed field goal. He had the right call dialled up for that critical third and nine just before the touchdown pass to Skowronek. That is where we lost the game.

As for Iowa, this is what I was afraid of, even though I predicted victory today. They are finding ways to play just good enough to lose. And Ferentz teams, once they fall in those ruts, frequently don't come out them until they hit rock bottom. Next week's Illinois game suddenly feels like Minnesota 2010. Illinois is going to practice this week knowing they're playing a reeling team.

A couple of threads are questioning Fant's role. The drop of the first pass of the season set the tone. He has been drop prone and penalty prone all year. He had another costly penalty against Purdue last week. Now word is coming out that he may have been the one not on the right page during the critical Penn State play. Throw his family into the mix and you have a mess.

Come to think of it, the whole team has been penalty and turnover prone most of the year. Two things that drive Kirk nuts, and at the most critical times. When our gunner couldn't down that punt inside the five in the third quarter, the camera caught Kirk muttering under his breath. And he wasn't saying "Mary" I can tell you that.

I don't give two craps what "drives Kirk nuts". Him throwing away another season drives me nuts, and I'm not getting a big bonus for beating f*cking Illinois.

Lots of teams win championships on Iowa's fields in all sports. Sadly, they're the other teams in the conference because Iowa teams under Gary Barta never win sh*t.

If you don't want a team celebrating on your field, do something about it.

Come on Kirk, do something. Fake leader.

No I didn't like it. Made me want to rush the field and knock that smug look right off his stupid face.

Weird; made me want to rush the field and knock Kirk & Bri in their stupid faces. Then again, I have that feeling almost every time Iowa plays.

Ya Brad Banks made terrible mistakes too. Never should have seen the field.

Beating Illinois is the equivalent of a participation trophy. I'd be shocked at this point if we beat Nebraska.
We'll either just destroy Nebraska or lose like 56-10 to them. Their offense requires impeccable play by the LBs to stop their misdirection run game and they have that one good WR that you have to cover drape, which I'm not sure our DBs can do. If our defense shows up, we should paste them because their defense ain't very good, but if our defense doesn't show up and we start the game with three consecutive futile drives on offense, we'll be down 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.
