I saw two Texas fans at Jordan Creek last night. They were up for the game. I conveyed my hope to them that Texas annihilates ISU then gave them a Hook em sign. Then an ISU fan a couple of tables over spouted off..."Just remember, 44-41 Squawk fan". I told him I didn't remember inviting him into the conversation.

and tell him to remember 15 in a f'n row. and 37 quarters w/out scoring against us. and the all time series lead to us by about 2 to 1. and 3 bowl wins for them in their entire history. "Clown fan" from "Lames"

I get the rah, rah, rah root for the state of Iowa thing, but I live here. If I lived in the other 49 states when you tell people you are from Iowa they think you say Ohio. You have to explain to them that we do not grow potatoes here, under those circumstances, yeah I could possibly root for ISU. But those situations are rare and far between.

I always root for any team Iowa loses to for the rest of the year for the simple fact that it makes that loss not hurt as bad when it comes to the rankings. Plus I straight up hate Texas with a passion.

A convincing win over Texas (IE not 3 overtimes) would make Iowa look "better", for now. But I will never "cheer" for the clowns. Waste of energy, when they could easily stink it up in conference play like they've been doing...since...forever...
