I can't believe Roy Marble's jersey isn't already retired. He's the school's all time leading scorer, and lone 2000 point scorer, which doesn't happen very often anywhere, much less at Iowa, especially in an era where few great players stay for 4 years. What more do you want?

It doesn't sound like it's officially happening yet though, just that it SHOULD happen, but I skimmed parts of the article so maybe I missed something.

But I agree with the author - this needs to happen real soon so Roy can see it happen. I always hate it when things happen posthumously, like Ron Santo eventually being voted into the HOF, but not until after he passed.
