Some guy over on the Xavier board is trying to claim that Maid-Rite started in Ohio.

They might as well have fire bombed Mt. Pleasant for all the rage I feel.

I'll keep her happy and bless you for serving Hawkeyenation

As far as Kansas is concerned, I am reading a book by Jame Lee Burke: Light of the World. He writes about Dave Robicheaus, a police officer from Louisiana......

In the book, this guy asks the bartender for a glass of water and a menu.....

You got it. Visiting?

Why do you think that?

Saw your tag through the window. How do you like Montana?

The State Tree of Kansas is a telephone pole. The man said. Does that tell you anything.....

Burke is awesome. Easily one of the best contemporary writers. Not sure how far you're into the book, but later on I think Burke has a paragraph or two describing KS as a wasteland.

I never thought I could hate a team and their fanbase more than Purdue until this moment.

Purdue? I'm guessing from the Gene Keady, dirtiest team in B1G basketball years? Can't be from anything to do with football. I was at the game in West Lafeyette this year, pretty subdued crowd (the ones that decided to show up).

Don't know where you've been but they are our biggest rival hands down.

One of my favorite authors. Have read all the Robicheaux books. They are impossible to put down until you fall asleep. I am halfway through this one.

Really liked Feast Day of Fools about Sheriff Hackberry Holland. Preacher Jack Collins was a strange character.....

Clete Purcell is one of the best sidekicks in literature......

Glad to hear that others know about James Lee Burke. He is one of a kind....

They were pretty nasty today in Orlando. Boilers had 10 fouls in the first 5 minutes, at least 9 of which were legitimate fouls, and it looked like some of the PU fans were about to charge the court like ISU at last year's Kansas game.
