X and O Question

Dumb question, LOL ... I can't believe you asked and reveal your idiocy about the game, LOL ... Even tho your not worthy, LOL ... I'll try to dumb it down for you numbskulls, LOL ...
X is split, weak side, opposite TE, LOL ... Y is the slot, LOL ... a little back off the line, strong side, often replacing the TE, LOL ... but the Y can also be between the TE and ... biggest LOL yet, because you didn't even ask about it, LOL, and he's often the best WR, the Z, who's split on the strong side, LOL, LOL, LOL .... the flanker, LOL!
Watch film and talk with knowledgeable fans who appreciate and know the game as much as me, LOL .... you might actually enjoy and understand what your watching, but, probably not, LOL .... because your just a message board wannabe who thinks he knows more than the coaches and players, LOL ....................................LOL!

Typically, the X is the split end and the Y is the tight end. Obviously, though, they can be moved around, wide, tight, etc. The guy off the line on the tight end side is typically the Z.

Iowa labels the Z the B. That's where McCarron has been playing and Hillyer played last year. The slot is were VandeBerg has been playing. The X is the where Tevaun played last year and Jerminic this year. That's also where Scheel has been playing. As topdog said, that's the widest WR and typically the fast guy that stretches the field.

If you added one more "moron" and 3 more LOLs this would've been a perfect impersonation of everyone's favorite poster.

I'm pretty sure he never used all the lol's until recently. When someone changes up their posting style so dramatically, it's further proof they are trolling. He should have created an alt first. Rookie mistake.

wow awesome, I was thrown because the LOL should be in lower case lol....so well played that I wondered if Buster was an alt but realized that Buster has been around for a long time.

lol. now

=====to sum it up======

X is split, weak side, opposite TE,

Y is the slot a little back off the line,

strong side, often replacing the TE

but the Y can also be between the TE and ...

and he's often the best WR, the Z, who's split on the strong side, the flanker,

----- my take ------------\

There are 2 ends. Ends are linemen, they line up on LOS. sometimes tight sometimes split. One is X the other is Y

There are 4 backs (QB, TB, FB, and another who is often split or in slot, or wing, H back) The Z is the slot/flanker./wing/H-bank

lol
