I saw that too. A bunch of people are putting football ahead of being civil human beings. It's pretty ridiculous.

Say the "family issues" entail someone being diagnosed with a serious illness, or something along those lines? The kid was VERY excited to come here, and I'd wager it'd take something pretty big to compel him to leave.

It's disgraceful that these losers on twitter are saying this to him. The kid transfers after his freshman year, it's not as if it was his junior year and he wants to transfer to Michigan or something.

Yeah you certainly are probably right. Like I said it is probably the ever present Hawkeye pessimist in me. I was not aware he was overly hyped to be coming to Iowa.

Agreed. I think the angry peeps really come out when it is a player that really showed promise, like Marcus did.
 
I will say again that I really hate some of our "fans." What in the eff would posses a person to talk chit to this guy on twitter? Soooooooooooooooo pathetic. I almost feel like I should make a damn Twitter account to apologize to this kid. Some peole really need to grow the eff up.

After what we saw at Penn St. after Paterno was fired, where several thousand students put football ahead of the fact that children were raped?

Anonymous comments made online are pretty tame by comparison. And as we saw with Ashton Kutcher, never try and speak for an entire fan base.

But then, as I often say: People are a$$holes.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here. I guess you mean that I shouldn't be surprised, and really, I'm not; I'm just scratching my head. Also, the comments people were making on Twitter weren't anonymous. I guess that's the surprise for me. That people would put their name by some of the stupid stuff they were saying.
