Would you rather?

this is turning into a "what if you had a future telling sports book" topic. I like these so I'll go.

1) amass at least a decillion dollars ($10^33 for those who are wondering).
2) buy 51% of the world's assets, thus I have majority control over the world.
3) start a gene-splicing/cloning program
4) get results, then wait 20 years
5) now my hybrid team of cheetah-gorillas that I clone every year beat every team 999-0.

hey, I declared myself supreme ruler of the NCAA so I say tank-bred che-rillas can play football, but only on the team I'm supreme ruler of. I'm also ultra kami guru of the earth now. If anybody got that reference you earned a cool point
I don't know what the ultra kami guru is, but I'll give you credit for thinking big. ALL HAIL THE ULTRA KAMI GURU AND HIS CHE-RILLAS!!!

I still can't believe all the negativity. If Kirk Ferentz were the head coach at Ohio State or Michigan during the same time he was at Iowa he would have a couple of National Championships. Why do you assume that Iowa will automatically go 6-6? I know Kirk has had some very interesting years, but he is better than 90% of the coaches that would stay at Iowa. Would you like 2 years of success and the head coach bolting to another school a few years later? Look at Iowa State and see how fortunate we are.

Despite how things have gone recently, things are looking up. There is a great facility and renewed vigor, something that hasn't been seen for a few years in the Iowa football program.

My almanac says 9-3. Why? Because eef 6-6.

If KF had been head coach at OSU or Michigan, he'd have been fired a long time ago.

I've long since dismissed the notion that KF does "more with less". That may have been true once upon a time, like back in 2004, but anymore, I have a hard time thinking of other coaches who put more players in the NFL, with so few wins to show for that talent.

I'd ask, why would anyone assume Iowa is going to go 9-3? Since 2004, Iowa has won only 9+ regular season games exactly ONE time (2009). Only twice if you count bowl games (2008).

Call me a pessimist if you like, but just trying to stay realistic and hope to be surprised.

To answer the OP: Obviously I would rather just win. But 6-6 or 3-9.. Meh, 6-6 does nothing for me, especially with this cake schedule. In that case, whatever gets KF out the door. If it takes 3-9, then so be it. But no, I don't WANT Iowa to lose.

If you had Biff's sports almanac from Back to the Future II and knew Iowa was going to go 6-6 in 2015, would you rather take that 6-6 or go 3-9? 6-6 and I think KF likely gets another year. 3-9 and I think he's gone. What say you?
But, if we knew Iowa was going 6-6, then going 3-9 isn't possible.

Here's another one for all of the naysayers, if you had Biff's sports almanac and knew Iowa was going to go 10-2, would you be upset that KF wouldn't be fired?

Where can I gets me some uh dat renewed vigor stuff?

Can you have them ready by last season please?

it's already been done, anally violating the NCAA in another timeline sadly. In fact, now they play just one game.......Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the rest of the world to determine the world champion of all sports. So far, the closest game has been 995-7. Stupid che-rilla backup CB #3, cost me a shutout.

Yes, we go 6-6, but Biff's sports almanac also says we go to the Quick Lane bowl in beautiful Detroit and kick the crap outa Kent St. 21-17
GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
