What would you like to see more, a Hawkeye Final Four appearance, or a Hawkeye Rose Bowl appearance? I figure more of the folks on HN are football over b-ball fans, but we'll see.

As for me, Iowa b-ball was my first love, so I think I'd take the final four appearance.

I pick Final Four. I guess I'm in the basketball mode so may skew it. The Rose Bowl's nice but since we got into the Orange Bowl in 2002, I really didn't care which BCS bowl we got into. Any high bowl is acceptable to me now. I think the Rose Bowl has lost a little luster compared to what it meant in the 80's & 90's. The BCS changed that & now we have a playoff system to aim for.

Final Four because I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never see Iowa in a Final Four in my life and I am 37. I have seen Iowa in a Rose Bowl or two.

I love BB, but football is still KING. I would have a heck of a sweet time in Cali for the Rose Bowl as well.

I think a better question would be Final Four for football or Final Four for basketball. I think most people would say football.

Getting to the Final 4 in basketball is a bigger deal than making a BCS Bowl Game (even the Rose Bowl) imho opinion the way things are set-up now. However, a case could be made for if Iowa was in the mix in the final 4 of the playoff football system for next year. In that case, my guess more people would vote for the final 4 of college football.

But, it has been longer drought getting to the Final 4 in basketball vs Rose Bowl appearances, so the way this poll is being measured, I would say the Final 4 in basketball I would much rather see.

I thought I heard on the Rose Bowl broadcast that Musberg said the Rose Bowl is part of football playoff? If it is, it's one of the semi-final games so it's basically a final four of football?

MBB Final Four. Iowa BB is fun to watch. Iowa FB offense is stressful. It would be moreso in Final Four FB.

To my way of thinking, it's easier to put together 5 great basketball players to make up the face of a winning team, so in basketball, any team is going to face a LOT of amazing and talented competition during the course of a season. To be able to ascend to the level of Final Four in basketball is far more amazing (to me) than getting to a Rose Bowl. Opinions will vary....

Currently, I'd say Rose Bowl because it is a NC semi-final next year. When it isn't a semi-final, I'd go with the BB Final 4

The answer to this question probably changes as the football rules change. Back in the day, maybe everyone would have answered Rose Bowl. Since the creation of the BCS National Championship game, playing in the Rose Bowl has always meant that you were good but had failed to play for the championship, thus I think the Final Four gets more votes.

The BCS really did hurt the Rose Bowl. I'm afraid the CF Playoff may do even more damage to its luster. Pasadena will always provide the climate and atmosphere for a bowl game that fans will pay to be a part of but now its 1 of 6 in terms of major bowls and will have no role in the NC 2/3 years.

Basketball and it's not even close...same as Lucky. Even if I were a football fan 1st I would lean toward basketball. It means Iowa has won 4 games in the NCAA tournament already which means I've had 4 very good days and 2 outstanding weeks at work, at home and in anything else I do. The Rose Bowl means winning the Big 10 Championship game...1 win. Obviously both would follow a season full of fun.

God, this is a tough choice. My big three in sports is Iowa football, Iowa basketball and Cubs baseball. I'll go with football just because there's a longer wait and more time to get hyped for the game even though I like basketball more.

Final Four for me. Grew up a hoops fan, and have seen Iowa in a couple rose bowls and orange bowls in my lifetime, but have no memory of Iowa's FF appearance in 1980 so would like to see that happen again.

I'm "mature" enough to remember the 70 NCAA loss to Jacksonville, final four team of 80, rose bowl years of (seasons) 81, 85, 90.

Rose Bowl used to be King, IMO. League champ went. Now, league runner-up, or possibly 3rd place finisher goes to RB versus playoffs.
I always thought the run to the final four in 80 under Lute was very special. I was in my 3rd year @ Iowa.

With these choices, pencil me in for the final four.

Now, re-phrase the question with "making the four team FB playoff" or the final four BB tourney....then it gets tougher to answer.
