Would love to see a breakdown of this

I continually hear that kirks teams improve and play their best football in November. Is this really true? I remember too many seasons that end in disappointment with a late season collapse to buy into it. Am I wrong, or is this a ferentzian myth? I don't want to spend my own time researching it, but if someone else wants to, I'd enjoy reading it.

Broke down and looked into it. Went back 10 years. Our record in November and bowls in that time is 19-25. In only 2 of those seasons were we over .500. In 2seasons we were .500. In 6 seasons we were below .500 in the last month of games.

2-3 in 2014 overall 7-5 (bowl to be played)
3-2 in 2013 overall 8-5
0-4 in 2012 overall 4-8
2-3 in 2011 overall 7-6
2-3 in 2010 overall 8-5
2-2 in 2009 overall 10-2
4-1 in 2008 overall 9-4
2-1 in 2007 overall 6-6
0-4 in 2006 overall 6-7
2-2 in 2005 overall 7-5

Let's be fair and include every year of KF's tenure so no one can call "cherry picking" stats.

4-0 in 2004 overall 10-2
4-1 in 2003 overall 10-3
3-1 in 2002 overall 11-2
3-2 in 2001 overall 7-5
2-1 in 2000 overall 3-9
0-3 in 1999 overall 1-10

So 35-33 overall in November-January. It obviously stems from the first 10 years of his tenure where Iowa was above .500 in 7 of 10 years in November-January. However, you might need to look at opponents record of those games and overall record to see if they really did improve. You might have to go beyond that and look at some stats as well.

As far as the last DECADE is concerned....This myth is BUSTED!
