Would Iowa accept a bid to the CBI?

for the love of God, Jon please let Ghost back in! this weak trolling crap is turrible. if you're going to allow it, at least have someone here who's good at it.

With a 1-6 record over the last seven games and the embarrassing loss to Northwestern in the Big Ten Tournament, I really believe we are out of the NCAA. There is also a good chance that the NIT passes on us as well because there would be little fan interest since we were there last year and expected to dance this year. They probably also don't want Fran and Zach's behavior to damage the tournament. So, if this team is going to make the post-season, it probably will have to be the CBI. A few years ago there was talk about refusing a bid. But right now that might not be wise. This is a team that loves each other and loves playing for their coach. Robbing them of one final opportunity to play together would be cruel and unusual punishment, it seems to me.

Is there no NIT?

lol, I hate trolls but dang. I almost miss the days when the trolls here were good at it. This garbage is just embarrassing.

I beg your pardon but Gary Barta came damn close to having to make the same decision that Fred Glass had to make over at Bloomington last night. I just wonder whether Barta would have had the same courage to say "We're Iowa. We don't play in the CBI."

I earned my MBA from Middle Tennessee State University, and the Blue Raiders turned down the CBI.
Pretty sure, Iowa would have, as well, like Indiana, just did.

The Big Ten should not allow any of its teams to play in the CBI. Perhaps there is already an understanding between the Big Ten and the schools on this issue.
